CES 2024 Participates in 10 Start-ups, Targeting Overseas Markets

Ten promising startups in Changwon will participate in CES, the world's largest consumer electronics fair, to be held in Las Vegas from January 9 to 12 next year.

ES (Consumer Electronics Show) is the world's largest consumer electronics and IT product exhibition held in Las Vegas in January every year under the auspices of the American Consumer Technology Association (CTA). It is an exhibition that offers a glimpse of various future-leading products and the latest technology trends, and a total of 3,200 companies from 173 countries around the world participated in CES 2023, and 550 companies participated in the exhibition, the largest ever participation in Korea after the U.S.

Companies selected as participants in CES 2024 are CTNS, Timpleback, K&LD, AI Biotics, SJ Solutions, Pulse Rock, The Way, Miraclea, NeoHealth Technology, and Ocean's Bio.

CTNS Co., Ltd. (CEO Kwon Ki-jung) is a secondary battery technology innovation company established in 2017 and develops and manufactures secondary battery packs. It provides life cycle services of battery packs from battery pack management and waste battery re-manufacturing. It has two patents for battery packs, including battery packs with preheating and heat dissipation functions, and has a sustainable world with eco-friendly energy technology as a corporate vision.

Founded in 2017, Timpleback Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Jin-hee) has grown with non-face-to-face classes during the COVID-19 period as a product that supports users' writing processes, including writing content, through its own writing data analysis engine, "Writing Solution." The contract has been signed with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and will be used at elementary, middle and high schools in Seoul from early next year. It expressed its aspiration to grow into a thought-oriented writing and learning service through participation in CES 2024 without any restrictions on Korean as well as language.

KNLED Co., Ltd. (CEO Cho Kyung-gu) is a company that manufactures lighting devices for advertisements by displaying LED image electronic boards and LED displays. It has completed its own technology to adjust the angle of electronic bulletin boards (LED billboards) in various forms (large, rotating, curved) of high resolution and excellent quality with computers, and has core technologies related to electronic boards, including three patents and one utility model. Compared to the previous year, it achieved 233% of sales growth in 2022 and is growing through continuous technological investment such as establishing its own corporate research institute and securing research manpower.

AI Biotics Co., Ltd. (CEO Ma Sang-bae and Ma Sang-hyuk), a medical technology company, is developing molecular diagnostic (PCR) equipment that enables on-site and multi-diagnosis. It is a multi-target detection technology that conveniently checks the presence of infection of a disease on the spot and simultaneously diagnoses various pathogens in a single specimen. It has attracted 955 million won in investment including 200 million won for the "Inlight No. 9 Next Unicorn Venture Fund," the No. 1 C-Blue Wing Fund in Changwon City. It has five related patents and three international PCT applications, and is preparing to enter the global market.

Founded in 2019, SSJ Solution (CEO Kang Moon-ki) developed a premium doughnut production automatic facility for small business owners and is a company that focuses on the smart factory construction business. After participating in CES 2023 in January, it completed the delivery of three devices this year, including the successful export of a $70,000 U.S. golf course food truck and the signing of an MOU with U.S. A company for doughnut manufacturing automation facilities. At CES 2024, it expressed its ambition to achieve the popularization of K-automated donuts in the U.S. market after improving the process with IoT-based automatic facilities.

Pulse Lock Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Jae-hyun) is a research institute that was established in 2020 and received technology transfer and develops EMP filters with the Korea Electric Research Institute. EMP filters are filters that can protect nuclear bomb attacks and prevent powerful electromagnetic pulses that act on electric and electronic equipment of power facilities and communication facilities, causing temporary operational errors and facility paralysis. It is a very important product in the defense industry and is a company that responds to various EMP pulse problems by developing electromagnetic pulse blocking parts and customized filters to promote the technology of Changwon's defense industry and explore overseas markets.

Founded in 2020, The Way Co., Ltd. (CEO Han Seok-young) is a company that supports professional manufacturing and production processes by providing smart factories and industrial automation solutions tailored to customers' needs by utilizing innovative artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud technology. It said it hopes that participation in CES will promote innovative technologies of companies and pave the way for them to grow into global companies by pioneering global markets.

Miraclea Co., Ltd. (CEO Byun Jung-hwan) is a medical device company established in 2022 and is developing "Better I Care," an AI-based implant care solution. VERRERI Care consists of an oral camera, a chatbot, and an AI app, and is a medical device that helps you determine the inflammation of implants and receive dental treatment in a timely manner. In addition, it has developed a sleep grinding management device, a wearable device worn during sleep, and is registering and applying for five patents related to the teeth grinding relief system.

Neo Health Technology Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Oe-cheol) is a defense aviation and healthcare company established in 2019 and will participate in CES 2024 by developing an indoor realistic exercise system. It is a device that provides an 86-inch monitor with an exercise device using a trade mill so that you can feel and exercise indoors as if you are outdoors. It holds nine patents, including a moving distance-linked visual display exercise assistance system, and CEO Kim Oe-cheol, who knocked on the door of the CTA, the organizer, for all month to qualify for CES 2024, expressed his ambition to participate in the event as it was a valuable opportunity.
